15-03-2009To me, a dive is when a player goes down deliberately, trying to gain benefit from this, e.g. a free kick, penalty, booking, etc. On most occasions you can tell a dive from a foul when the diver pulls both his hands up in the air and stretches his body, sometimes even turning, before going down. He needs to think of this before the contact, otherwise you won't have time to do so. That is intentional cheating. I don't like cheating.
14-03-2009After the Pedersen and Holla dives in march 2009 I created this list. Diving is disgraceful and unsporting but in the end, it's up to the referee to decide.
